Description

Several hook shaped concretions were recovered from across the site, these consisted off a wrought iron hook bound or welded to a wrought iron bar, both square in profile, measuring 20mm, the longest of these measuring 250mm. The bar would have probably been bound to a wooden shaft, the exact purpose of these artefacts is unknown but it is though that they may be boat hooks or part of the salvaging equipment.
